No. Mailing list, class alerts and broadcasts are part of Sequence/OS Pro. There is no Mailchimp account to set up and no extra monthly fee.

Who do the emails come from?

You. Each teacher gets a sender identity on the authenticated Sequence/OS sending domain, for example liz@mail.sequenceos.app, with your teaching name on it. Replies are routed to your own email address, so a student replying reaches you, not us.

How do students join my list?

There is a sign-up on your booking page, and students can opt in while they book. Consent is recorded with each sign-up, and every email carries an unsubscribe link that takes effect immediately.

Two kinds of email

A class alert goes out about one class, with its date, place, price and a Book button that lands on your page. A general email goes to your whole list, for the new term, a retreat, a workshop or simply keeping in touch.

Both carry your booking page design and your name, and both are listed afterwards under Previously sent emails, grouped by month.

Sending, consent and your obligations

You are not connecting a Gmail account and we are not sending from a shared address. Sequence/OS sends on an authenticated domain with a per-teacher sender identity, and sets your own email address as the reply address. Sending reputation is looked after centrally; the content and the promises you make in it are yours.

Only email people who have asked to hear from you. Do not upload a bought list. Full detail is in the terms and the privacy notice.
