Guide
Set up class bookings
A step by step guide to class bookings in Sequence/OS: publish your booking page, add classes and courses, connect Stripe for card payments, read health forms safely, and cancel or refund without losing the record.
Works the same on the web and in the iPhone app.
Step 1
Create your booking profile
Open Bookings and fill in My Yoga Business: your teaching or business name, a short introduction, your photographs and, if you have one, your website and Instagram.
- Your web address is suggested as you type, for example sequenceos.app/book/liz-mellor. Edit it before publishing if you want something shorter.
- A contact email is required. Every booking reply and notification comes back to that address.
- Pick a design: Studio Noir, Botanical, Sunroom or Afterglow. It sets the look of both your page and your emails.
- Choose whether your page is listed. Listed pages are included in the Sequence/OS sitemap for search engines; unlisted pages work only for people you send the link to.
Step 2
Connect Stripe if you want to be paid by card
Tap the payment setup button and complete Stripe's onboarding. This creates your own Stripe account, in your own country and currency, so a UK teacher is paid in pounds and a US teacher in dollars.
Sequence/OS takes a 2% platform fee. Stripe's own card fee applies separately and varies by country (see your Stripe dashboard). Free classes need no Stripe account at all.
Step 3
Add your classes
- Title, photo, price, date, time, place and how many places there are.
- Repeat weekly to build a course, with block pricing if you want the whole course sold as one.
- Attach a class plan you have already written, create a new one now in the class builder, or decide later.
- Tick Also add this class to my teaching calendar and every date appears in your calendar.
- Duplicate a class you teach often rather than typing it out again.
Step 4
Share your page
Copy the link from the top of your bookings screen, or use View my page and Share link. Put it in your Instagram bio, on a studio poster, and at the foot of your emails. It never changes unless you change it.
Step 5
Look after student information
- Students fill in a health form the first time they book, and confirm anything that has changed on later bookings.
- Answers are encrypted and visible only to you. Each time you open a form, that access is logged.
- Flagged considerations show next to a student's name in the class list, on your calendar and in Clients.
- Set how long forms are kept, and action deletion requests, on the privacy screen.
Step 6
Change, cancel and refund
- Change a class and everyone booked is emailed the new details automatically.
- Cancel one date, or all remaining dates of a course, without deleting the course itself.
- Choose a Stripe refund, or carry the payment over to another class.
- Cancelled classes stay on record, so your history and your accounts stay complete.
Frequently asked questions
- Where do I find bookings?
- On the web, open Bookings from the main navigation or the Your booking studio card on your home screen. On the iPhone app, open the Bookings section. Both use the same account and the same data.
- Why is my page not showing up when I search for it?
- New pages take days or weeks for search engines to pick up. Make sure your page is published and listed, then share the address directly with your students in the meantime. Listed pages are added to the Sequence/OS sitemap automatically.
- Can I take bookings without taking payment?
- Yes. Leave a class free and students simply reserve a place. You can connect Stripe later, whenever you want to charge.
- What happens to a class after it has started?
- It stops accepting bookings and moves out of your active class list, so students cannot book a class that is already underway. The record and its bookings stay with you.
